Some time ago I wrote of how the public hospitals had banned snack foods high in unhealthy ingredients from their buildings in an attempt to curb the rapidly rising rate of obesity among the public.

Well, it now transpires that some months later, the State government has been caught flooding the health system's vending machines again. A government tender has called for bidders to supply "chocolate, sugars, sweeteners and confectionary products to more than 130 machines in hospitals, and medical centres.

They haven't admitted as yet, why they are invoking this cause of obesity but I'll hazard a guess it has something to do with money.

Something to do with money---- doesn't everything --- especially if it is to the advantage of the government? How else would the members of this--for want of a better phrase ---??????????? illustrious "state" society receive their inflated salaries and pensions????

It's all about the money; that's why these so-called solutions to global warming will never eventuate - we're talking billions of dollars here for an, at best, 'sticking plaster' solution.
6 billion and counting. THIS is what's unsustainable.
