Yep - it's a gas alright.
The powers that be in New Zealand have said that big investors (20 mill+) don't have to know ANY english to be allowed into the country.
Those with a 10 million investment are only required to have 'a competent level of English'.
And the poor saps with only 2.5 million (tch! ONLY! - shit, wish I had ONLY 2.5 mill) must pass an entrance exam.
That's right - money doesn't make the world go round! Yeah right, I'd LOVE to know in what sort of world those people live - not bloody this one that's for sure!

WE have a huge Asian community where I live in NZ. I remember one day when I was working at the bank, one of the customers started talking to me in Korean. He actually expected me to answer him and when I couldn't, he complained to the manager. Last time I checked, we spoke English in NZ. Hmmmmm
Believe me, Missy, I wish I was wrong about this - but I'm not.
One has to wonder KB, how much longer English will be the most widely spoken word, with the eastern economies expanding so quickly. Actually, to my eternal digust, It's American, not English that's most widely used these days. TCH!
WELL, NOT ON MY BLOG!!!!!
Couldn't give a toss whether you're offended or not, my friend. I..am...outraged at what your masters have done to my language. Listen...seriously...don't get me started mate. :)
But the NZ thing, well, it's just a glaring and blatant example of what makes the world go round.
Hmmm...I really don't know what to make of it at times. Ultimately there's nothing CAN be done - it's the nature of man and the warrant was signed with the creation of the catalyst of our greed.
Another post there.
Lollipops is obviously a synonym for something else it would seem. I like lollipops.
Again - synonym. Boogie is a verb for dancin coined in the 70's I think.
I boogie
You boogie
He/she/they boogie
Ho ho
Bogey is the equivalent for what you mean.
